XPE is looking for a(n) Vehicle Evaluation Project Leader (m/f):

To organize manage vehicle performance for locally built models throughout the following activities:
• Create performance concept in cooperation with Marketing Project Planning division.
• Proceed target setting with R&D functions and Marketing, create 1 voice based upon above concept.
• Organize events to evaluate own vehicles versus competitors (Product Power Evaluation, European Suitability, ….).
• Follow evaluation of each area and ensure prototype evaluation schedule incl. reporting at milestone meetings.
• Check locally built vehicles during production trials lead C/M activity
• If required, follow up remaining issues internally within Toyota Motor Europe or with Toyota Motor Corporation Japan.

Toyota Technical Centre (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the planning, development and production of attractive, superior quality cars matching European market requirements.

Total Vehicle Assessment&Management Department is responsible for Total Vehicle performance evaluation and management. We set&agree performance targets at the start of the project. During development, from early prototype till production start, we organize performance follow-up events activities to confirm target achievement. Examples of such events are (1) Prototype evaluation in Europe with R&D function divisions and TMC counterparts (2) Product Power evaluations in cooperation with Marketing Distributors (3) Production vehicle performance follow-up during production trails, etc.
In case customer critical performance concerns are detected, we lead countermeasure activity with related divisions, ensuring one-voice if needed.

Requirements:

• Higher education and aproximately 3 years experience in Project Management in a highly technical environment, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Basic knowledge about vehicle technology components (ability to read technical documents and drawings). We would welcome somebody who loves cars.
• Strong communication, planning and reporting capability.
• Good computer skills (MS Office including MS Project).
• Strong affinity with cars or the automotive sector would be a plus.
• Teamplayer.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, other languages are an asset.
