XPE is looking for a(n) Graduate Trainee (m/f):

Engine application for diesel engines becomes more and more complex due to lower and lower emissions and fuel consumption requirements and associated exhaust gas treatment systems:
- You will join the engine application team for next diesel generation development.
- You will be assigned to base engine calibration related to the base combustion.
- Your role will be to schedule your test at bench or vehicle, perform testing, analyze the results and report to your team leader.
- You will be supported by our technician team for the practical tests and by others team members for data analysis.
- Your target is to finalize calibration step by step according to the development milestones linked to the mass production plan.

Research and Development (R&D) in Europe is responsible to plan, develop and produce attractive, superior quality cars matching European market requirements. R&D aims to strengthen the Toyota image in Europe.
The Engine application team is a team of 18 people with the engine (software and calibration) as main responsibility. The team combines practical tests on test track, on chassis dynamometer to simulate car behavior on road and engine benches to setup first engine parameters.

Requirements:

- Study in mechanical engineering, experience in diesel engine application is an asset (max 18 months experience for this Graduate Program)
- Experience and high interest for engine development and cars development in general [internships,…]
- Flexible team player
- Open personality able to work in an independent way, hands-on mentality
- High motivation – perseverance
- Strong working methods / efficiency
- Basic computer skills: Word, Excel (macros, charts).
- Basic programming skills (MatLab, calibration,…)
- Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus
- Owner of a driving licence
- Travel: +/- 5%
