For one of our clients we are looking for: Design & Test Engineer Hydraulic Systems m/f - Sint Michiels (m/f):

Job description:

The engineer will make the design of the hydraulic system being delegated and supervised by a senior engineer responsible for the design of the hydraulic system.

The design/test engineer will develop the testplan for the hydraulic system.

The prototypes of the hydraulic system have to be assembled, debugged and tested by the engineer.

The design/test engineer will establish the test validation plan for the hydraulic system.

The first debugging activity and functional testing will be done by the engineer. Once the prototypes are more mature, he will coach a hydraulic tester that will support him in the more iterative testing that is needed.

The testing includes creating the right test set-up for the validation tests (set-ups for functional and durability testing) and testing the prototypes of the hydraulic system as a separate hydraulic system as well as integrated in the driveline system.

The designer/test engineer will process the test data to the necessary information that conclusions can be derived from the testing. The engineer can also support the hydraulic tester to create this information.

Final conclusions will be made by design/test engineer.

The test engineer will document the test results into a test report.

Knowledge about hydraulic systems and mechanics. The hydraulics know-how is related to hydraulics needed to control transmissions.

The test engineer is able to use in the testing a controller with the embedded software to control the hydraulic system.

Requirements:

Master Electro Mechanics/Hydraulics

Work Experience with, design, assembling and testing hydraulic systems.
The engineer can work with MS-office and an e-mail program.

The test engineer
• is a team player,
• has good communication skills (oral, written)
• is a hands-on person, is practically oriented.
• is fluent in Dutch and has knowledge about English
