For one of our clients we are looking for: CAE Engineer (m/f) - Lummen (m/f):

Introduction:

Key areas of responsibilities and accountability
To analyze the customer requirements for endurance and functionality.
To design, develop and validate the endurance function of exhaust systems.
To organize in dialogue with CAE department the endurance calculation work.
To initiate prototype manufacturing work in dialogue with development engineer.
To initiate and follow up endurance testing.
To make reporting, documentation and presentation of the results of this work in accordance with the
applicable customer specific requirements.
To establish the endurance validation plan in dialogue with project leader.

Job description:

- Actively support development teams with CAE work
- Report and present simulation results to customers
- Analyze, develop and validate new simulation procedures
- Initiate and follow-up necessary correlation programs
- Actively collaborate with the AE&T group to improve system validation methodologies

Requirements:

- civil or industrial engineer in chemistry or Mechanics
- 1-3 years experience in industry
- Knowledge in following domains:
o Thermal management, vibrations, structure dynamics, durability
o CFD and/or acoustics is a plus
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis
- Knowledge of the following softwares (in order of priority): ABAQUS, HYPERMESH, Design life, Glyphworks
- Knowledge in Python and VBA programming
- Knowledge of standard office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Languages:
o English (mandatory), Dutch, French, German is a plus
